Protection of new foundations and the building itself may be achieved using DENDRO SCOTT™ Root Barrier; even when building on top of or close to Japanese Knotweed contaminated ground.
This method may avoid excavating, removing and disposing of large quantities of Japanese Knotweed contaminated soil; thus making the use of DENDRO-SCOTT™ Root Barrier very cost effective.
The installation is normally carried out in two phases …
Phase 1: Protection of the mass concrete foundations, by lining foundation trenches with DENDRO-SCOTT™ Root Barrier membrane
Phase 2: Protection of the floors under the building, by jointing sheets of DENDRO-SCOTT™ Root Barrier to the foundation membranes
Phase 1
Phase 2
Completion
This effectively forms a sealed membrane under the entire building.
